Ms.Mary is a college professor who also enjoys working with younger students. She is an adjunct professor of writing, business communication (a course that culminates in a Shark Tank competition!), and English at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She previously taught literature, writing,
Catholic studies and French at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and continues to teach some courses remotely for this institution.
Mary’s work with younger children includes conducting a “Kids Choir” for Big Brother Big Sister and coaching students in research and public speaking skills at a summer camp for Capitol Debate. She also teaches business communication to high school students under a dual enrollment program with Aquinas College.
A retired federal government senior executive officer, Mary has briefed Cabinet officials and Congressional committees. She has extensive experience in leadership development and improving
organizational communication.
She was awarded an Academics for Creative Teaching Grant for the academic year 2016-17 and a Mini-Grant for the 2019-2020 academic year.
