Reading comics is an interesting way to promote literacy. Students will read comics that are high-interest to practice and master the essential skill of reading comprehension. Questions and presentations that are geared to skill strengthening will be included in this course.
Students will learn:
- the definition and history of comic art
- to read comics with the subjects: social issue, fiction, international culture, etc.
- to gain vocabulary, grammar, speaking skills, writing skills
- to gain main ideas from chapters to chapters
- to present a favorite comic story with details
- and much more!
Time: 1:00-3:00 P.M. ET
