From Encyclopedias to Research | G8-G12

Overview

In this course, students will gain reading skills and college-level research skills to get deep into their interesting subjects utilizing Encyclopedias.com.

Encyclopedia.com: Encyclopedia.com is an online encyclopedia. It aggregates information from other published dictionaries, encyclopedias, and reference works, including pictures and videos. (from Wikipedia)

Students will learn:

  • how to outline subject through an encyclopedia
  • how to search high-quality information from an encyclopedia quickly
  • to comprehend the condensed texts from encyclopedia articles
  • to lead the efficient encyclopedia reading to the college-level and self-choice research project
  • and much more!
