Urban Art: Art or Vandalism | Grade 3-5

Overview

Students will go more into depth about Urban Art and its place in the community. How do we determine what art is? Urban artists use bold images to catch attention in communities around the world. We’ll learn more about some of the most influential Urban Artists, such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Cornbread, etc. At the end of the week, we will hold a friendly Graffiti Battle!

  • Learn the names and styles of several Urban Art influencers

  • Learn history and terms for Urban Art styles

  • Learn the graffiti techniques

  • Practice and develop personal art styles

  • Assorted Office Stationery 

  • Basic Drawing & Painting Supplies: paper, pencils, eraser, colored pencils, marker, or sharpie
