What You Will Learn

This course teaches the basic techniques of drawing in pencil, inking with pen and brush, and painting with watercolors. Students will learn Terminology, shading, inking techniques, color theory, use of watercolors.

Course Projects

Project 3: Inking thick and thin lines close to each other to make a grayscale chart. Drawing the outline of an object with thick and thin lines to indicate weight and position

Project 6: Using ink wash to make a grayscale chart and shading an object using ink wash

Project 9: Coloring the previous week’s illustration
